TUT FM 96.2

In Soshanguve, Gauteng, TUT FM 96.2 broadcasts from university campuses across the country. In addition to broadcasting from the Soshanguve Campus, the Tshwane University of Technology also operates a radio station.

It is primarily targeted at young people and students.

In 1994, the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) granted it a one year term broadcasting licence as one of the first campus radio stations. The license of the station was renewed in 2014 because of the Electronic Communications Act.

There are 50 000 listeners within a 50km radius of the station and it broadcasts between 06h00 and 00h00 every day. Our target audience is mainly young people between the ages of 15 and 35 and we broadcast in six languages: English, Tswana, Pedi, Zulu, Venda, and Tsonga.
