The Department of Primary Education has Two (2) part-time Markers positions available at Soshanguve North Campus, the posts as follows:

Key performance areas

The Marker in the Department of Primary Education, in the School of Education, is an academic leader responsible for marking of the scripts in department including that he/she:

  • Must have knowledge of Professional studies subject in the General Education and Training subjects from level ll to level lV.
  • Must be a strategic and innovative thinker, with excellent conceptualization and analytical skills of the General Education and Training bands.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Should demonstrate academic skills in the curricula processes in accordance with the current MRTEQ requirements.
  • Must be able to work interdependently with others and be a self-starter in marking and learning activities of the GETs.
  • Must meet deadlines in the allocated tasks.

Minimum Requirements

 Academic qualifications

  • A Master’s Degree in Education: Specialized knowledge of Professional Studies
  • Submission of all academic records and certified qualifications is required.


  • Two Years teaching at Tertiary institution in the GET band.
  • Knowledge in the following areas of study: Specialised in or have taught in the GET Phase for at least 2 years at university level.
  • Previous marking experience at the tertiary education institution will be an added advantage.
