The Office of the Executive Dean has part time position of a Part time lecturer at the Arts Campus. The application is available on the University’s website, share point and the University’s intranet.

Critical Performance Areas

  • Lecturing English Communication skills and English for academic purposes to first year students
  • Develop learning material on my TUTor and integrate appropriate technology in teaching and learning
  • Assess learning outcomes using appropriate assessment methods in line with the TUT policy on assessment
  • Capture assessment marks on ITS, track and monitor at-risk students
  • Any other reasonable duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s Degree (NQF9) in English/ Language Practice

Experience

  • Three years of teaching experience at a higher institution of learning, preferably a university
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of learning and teaching related to the acquisition of Academic and Occupational English.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Communication.
  • Planning and Organizing of activities and work flow.
  • Interpersonal.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Image building of TUT.
  • Self-management.
