The Department of Sport, Rehabilitation and Dental Sciences in the Faculty of Science is seeking a Part – Time Lecturers x4 in Dental Technology at the Pretoria West Campus.

TUT Part-Time Lecturer in Dental Technology (X4)

  • An academic leader responsible for teaching and managing activities of teaching and learning for the Dental Technology programme
  • Participate in programme activities which include lecturing, student consultations, compiling of examination papers, the compiling of continuous assessment activities and tests, marking of assessments/scripts, entering of marks on ITS and giving prompt student feedback
  • Promote ethics, excellence and quality in teaching and learning in orthotics and prosthetics knowledge and skills
  • A professional responsible in assisting the programme with demonstrations, supervision and evaluation of students’ laboratory wok according to the SADTC

Minimum Requirements

  • B-Tech / Bachelors degree in Dental Technology
  • Registered with the SADTC as a dental technician / technologist


  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Dental Technology laboratory
  • Must be well versed in prosthetics, crown & bridge, chrome cobalt and orthodontics disciplines, in order to supervise the
