  • Admission to TUT shall be in accordance with the rules and regulations of TUT, as approved by the Council and recommended by the Senate. Prospective students may apply on the basis of Grade 11 or mid-year Grade 12 results, and provisional admission may be granted pending final submission of Grade 12 results.
  • All prospective students will need to go through an evaluation process before being admitted to any qualification. All applications will only be considered for one campus.
  • A person who is granted provisional admission to Tshwane University of Technology Online Application 2023 may be admitted to the second semester or year of study only if he or she meets the following conditions:
  • In order to apply to the Tshwane University of Technology, you must have either:
    Complied with the outstanding requirements of the National Senior Certificate or Senior Certificate examination, or an equivalent examination.
  • Passed any equivalent subject, as approved by the TUT Council.

TUT Financial Aid for 2023

To be eligible for funding in the 2023 academic year, the applicant should make sure that all procedures are followed and that the terms and conditions for each funding category are met. All applications must be complete and submitted on time in order to be accepted – this includes all required materials and application fees. Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed.

This funding refers to bursaries that are allocated to students from sources outside of the University. The minimum deposit for Registration in 2023

An initial minimum payment of R1 500 is required before registration can be completed, as the first instalment towards the total tuition fees. The payment will appear on the student’s account within 24 hours of making a bank deposit.

It’s best to apply for residence accommodation as soon as possible after you’ve been accepted to TUT. Our current residences can only handle about 22% of all TUT students, so it’s important to act quickly. Keep the admission rules in mind when you apply so that your application has the best chance of being accepted.

  • Late applications will not be considered for placement.
  • Successful applicants will be notified from November.
  • Only TUT forms submitted on time will be taken into consideration.
  • Admittance to a residence is possible only after successfully being academically accepted and is based on the availability of space.
